Claude Ponting, Pastor of Opportunity Presbyterian Church in Spokane, Washington, submitted the following classic story. Claude prefaces his remarks by observing, “I cannot testify to the historical accuracy of the event involved although I heard it told years ago under circumstances that lead me to believe that it was authentic.
