ACCIDENTS
Some people who had automobile accidents were asked to summarize exactly what happened on their insurance form. The following quotes were taken from these forms and published in the Toronto Sun on July 20, 1977: Coming home, I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don’t have. I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way. The guy was all over the road; I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him. I had been driving my car for 40 years when I fell asleep at the wheel and had an accident. My car was legally parked as it backed into the other vehicle. An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my vehicle and vanished. I told the police that I was not injured, but on removing my hat, I found that I had a skull fracture.
