NOT SO FAITHFUL PRAYER
I am reminded of a cartoon that I saw a couple of weeks back. In the first frame is a man, let us call him Joe. Joe is standing by himself minding his own business when out of the corner of his eye he spies his friend Sam coming toward him. Joe thinks to himself, “Oh no! I told Sam that I would pray for him and I haven’t.” Frame two: Joe is silently praying, “Lord, please be with Sam. Amen.” Frame three: Joe calls out to his friend Sam: “Hi Sam, how are you doing? I’ve been praying for you.”
