“And now my fall is upon me and there is no relief from my pains” (Psalm 38:17).
The story is told of two climbers, Jim and Tom, who had just reached the top of a steep cliff when Jim fell and landed fifty feet below on a narrow ledge. Horrified, Tom yelled down, “Jim, are you okay?” To which Jim yelled back, “I’m alive, but both my arms are broken.” “Don’t worry, I’ll get a rope down to you and pull you up.” Tom said. Tom then tossed the rope down to Jim and began pulling him up to safety. Suddenly, Tom remembered Jim had broken both his arms. “If your arms are broken, how are you hanging on to the rope?” he hollered down. Jim yelled back, “With my t-e-e-e-t-h.” And down he went!
