CHURCH-GOING BILLS
Bags of old, tattered bills were returned to the United States Treasury. A ONE DOLLAR bill and a TWENTY DOLLAR bill struck up a conversation. The TWENTY DOLLAR bill spoke first: “I went to many places; I went to nice stores, good restaurants, country clubs, and exotic places. How about you? Where have you gone?” The ONE DOLLAR bill sadly told his story: “All I ever did was go to church, go to church, go to church!” From Charles F. Krieg St. Joseph’s Seminary, Plainsboro, New Jersey
