STEWARDSHIP PLAN
When our church kicked off a stewardship campaign to pay off the debt on the buildings, the pastor suggested that husbands and wives pray separately about the amount of money they might contribute. The pastor said, “God will give each of you a figure, and from my past experience, the two amounts are usually similar.” In our home fellowship meeting the following Wednesday, Tom, known for his frugality, gave this testimony about the experiment: “My wife and I prayed about how much to give each week over the next three years and it turned out there was a dollar’s difference between us. She wants to give $1.00 and I don’t want to give anything.” Christian Reader
