“How beautiful are . . . those who bring Good News of good things” (Romans 10:15).

A chaplain arrived at the hospital as usual early one morning. As he walked down the corridor, a man dashed out of one of the patient rooms and, with a gentle tug on the chaplain’s arm, joyfully exclaimed, “She’s going to make it! She’s better! She’s going to make it!” He continued his rush down the corridor, shaking hands with a doctor, a nurse and another visitor. And to each he repeated, the good news: “She’s going to make it! She’s better! She’s going to make it!” Finally, as he neared the exit, he spied an elderly woman in a wheel chair. His face radiant with joy, he gently took her hand in his and kissed it, saying, “She’s going to make it! She’s better! She’s going to make it. I love you! I love everybody.” None of the persons in the corridor ever knew who he was talking…
