SERVICE ECONOMY
Here is the definition of a service economy as observed by and adapted from Bob Orben in The Executive Speechwriter Newsletter: First you go to a coin-operated laundry-mat so that you can wash and dry your own clothes. Then you drive yourself to a gas station where you are required to pump your own gas. And finally you’re off to a fast food restaurant where you need to carry your own tray. And what’s it all being called? A service economy!
