Love | Death | Loving relationships

“We love because He first loved us.” (I John 4:19).

Erich Fromm, in “The Art of Loving,” simply states that without loving relationships there can be no love. In our everyday lives we all too often treat love or a loving relationship as a luxury, a dimension we can get along without. But, in reality, we cannot. We either love or we die. And, though there is but one way to live, there are a thousand ways to die.

Larsen, E., “Love Is A Necessity” (adapted)
