WITHOUT MOTHER THE PLACE IS REALLY EMPTY
Some time back I saw a cartoon in the SatEvePost that showed a young boy about five or six years old talking on the telephone, and he’s saying, “Mom is in the hospital, the twins and Roxie and Billie and Sally and the dog and me and Dad are all home alone.” I think that beautifully sums up the strategic role that Mother plays in the typical American home today. She is a key person. Many have been the writers who have tried to put that vital role in proper perspective. God has made many kinds of mothers. Not all fit the description in Proverbs 31. I did a sermon once on the varied kinds of mothers that are found in Scripture and noted the following:
