Power | Prayer | Sin | Temptation

POWER OF PRAYER
In late May I was admiring my lovely, green, blooming cantaloupe plants. The foliage was hearty and spreading rapidly. Then, in mid-June and throughout July, a drought set in, and the leaves began to wilt. Finally, I realized that if I wanted to harvest any cantaloupes, I would have to water the plants. After watering them late one evening, I retired for the night. The next morning, I hurried to the garden to check on the plants. There they were, fresh and lovely. Prayer is to the Christian what water is to the thirsty plant. If your spiritual life is struggling against the drought of sin and temptation, water it with a heavy shower of prayer, and watch it spring back to life.
