It was the day after Christmas. A weary father was trying to take a nap but his young son kept finding ways to disturb him. Finally, the father lost patience. “Go to my room,” he said to the son. Hearing this, the boy’s mother asked, “Why did you tell him to go to your room and not his?” The father replied, “Because of all those Christmas presents he received. In his room he has a TV set and a stereo and a pile of new records and four of the latest computer games. So if I want to punish him I have to send him to my room.” That same day two six-year-olds were discussing Santa Claus. Said one, “Santa Claus isn’t real. It’s just your parents.” “That’s not true”, said the other. “My parents couldn’t afford to buy me all that stuff.”
