If Christ were to appear on earth as He did two thousand years ago, would we recognize Him? “Oh,” we may answer, “if He were living in our day, we would be able to hear Him and see Him and touch Him. And how willingly we would leave everything to follow Him.”
And yet … and yet … the Risen Christ is living in our day, and we are able to hear Him and we are able to see Him, and we are able to be touched by Him this very day. Moreover, this very day, we can identify Him as our life’s Number One Priority and follow Him accordingly.
Why have we not seen Him or been touched by Him? Why are we not hearing Him. He is here among us every day. Why have we not met Him? …
