We have gathered in Jesus’ Name and, truly, He is in the midst of us. He is here to help us deepen our relationship with God. He is here to show us how to experience God more fully in our lives. He is here to help us understand how our relationships with other people affect our relationship with God. He is here to teach us that when our relationships with other persons are sensitive, sincere and loving, the Power and the Love of God are released in us and begin to flow through us. He is here to warn us that a non-loving relationship literally can block God out of our lives and prevent His Power and Love from being released within us. In Jesus’ own words,
You have heard the commandment imposed on your forefathers, “You shall not commit murder.” … What I say to you is, “Everyone who grows angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment” (Mt. 5:21).
