Will of God,

For Jesus Christ, the secret of His life was made known in His passionate, joyful, expectant giving of Himself to the Will of God. At every moment of His life, in every experience, He gave Himself obediently and unconditionally to the Will of God. We see this winding through the Gospels like a golden thread.

The Garden of Gethsemane is maintained by the “Brothers of Saint Francis” as a place of pilgrimage. It lies at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. It is a wonderful place to walk, to sit, and to think quietly about what is, perhaps, the most important prayer ever uttered. It is a prayer that reveals to us the secret of the life of Jesus, a prayer that has been called “The highest moment in the history of religion”:
