Magi,

A proud grand-uncle recalls, in glowing terms, the first word spoken by his grand-niece, at age fifteen months:

She did not go with the traditional “Momma” or “Dadda.” Instead my kid brother’s happy little daughter said, “Wow!”

I love that “Wow!” I hope her first word will stay with her for the rest of her life, and occupy a prominent part in her heart and soul.

Then he added …

It has been reported that by the time kids arrive at the second grade level, they already have lost their sense of awe and wonder — their sense of “Wow!” One can only hope that this is not true.

I find myself bumping into awesome people and wondrous things every day. And when I do, I find myself borrowing my grand-niece’s first word: “Wow!”
