There are a few widely circulated daily newspapers that pride themselves on creating clever headlines. I’m sure you’ve seen them. In ironic, humorous and sometimes low-brow fashion, they attempt to convey the day’s news with just a few startling words, or a provocative turn-of-phrase. And it works. Headlines sell newspapers.
