A patient said to his psychiatrist …
ìDoctor, you have to do something for my wife. She is totally immature.î The therapist replied, ìPerhaps you can tell me why you feel that way about her.î The man said, ìWhy only last night while I was taking a bath, she leaned over the tub and sank every one of my boats.î
The pursuit of wisdom often follows a crooked path. We donít always seem to have the capacity to move from immaturity to full maturity in a straight line. In our quest for full maturity we encounter all sorts of distractions.
A little girl came home from her first day at school. ìDid you learn anything?î her mother asked. ìNot much,î the little girl replied, ìthe other kids were making too much noise. So I guess Iíll have to go back tomorrow.î
Of course! Go back … and back … and back again. Someone has said, ìPeople who think they know everything upset those of us…
