In a popular cartoon, two little children have discovered their Easter baskets and are busy enjoying the contents. “Who colored all these eggs?” one child asks. “The Easter Bunny,” says the other…

“Who gave us these jelly beans?”
“The Easter Bunny.”
“And the chocolate rabbit?”
“The Easter Bunny.”

Later that Easter morning, in Church, they heard the preacher say, “They came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken away. Now, who could have done that?” To which the two little children cried out in unison, “The Easter Bunny!”

One of the wonderful things about Easter is that we can get in touch with some of the feelings we had when we were little children. And it’s not just nostalgia. It’s important, because Jesus said that unless we become like little children we cannot inherit the Kingdom of God …
