A school secretary received a phone call. A shaky voice on the other end of the line stammered, “Robert Martindale won’t be in school today.” The secretary, a bit suspicious of the nervous caller asked, “And just who is speaking?” The squeaky voice answered, “My father.”
In today’s Gospel Lesson, Jesus is speaking to a crowd in steady and certain terms about His Father’s promise to fulfill them in His Kingdom of love.
