of the One Truth.
Welcome, disciples of Christ,
as we gather to hear His Word.
Penitential Prayer
We are sorry, Lord, for our “sometime” discipleship.
— sometimes too embarrassed to express love
— sometimes too self-centered to share
— sometimes too talkative to listen
— sometimes too stubborn to say, “I’m sorry”
— sometimes too righteous to say, “I forgive you.”
We are sorry, Lord, for our “sometime” discipleship. Please forgive us.
Blessing
Let us go out, and make disciples of all nations, knowing that Jesus is with us
now
and tomorrow
and always.

Greeting
Rejoice, the earth is alive,
the air is vibrant.
Rejoice in the season of life.
Rejoice and sing and pray and worship
in the Spirit of the Lord.
Penitential Prayer
Because we have blamed others for our mistakes,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Because we have turned our backs on those we might have helped,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Because we have turned to you only when it was convenient,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Because we have underestimated the true worth of our friends and neighbors,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Because we have turned the truth to our selfish ends,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Because we have tried to do it “our way” instead of Your way,
Father we ask Your forgiveness.
Blessing
Fear not the darkness
for a great light shines within you.
Fear not your enemy
for your love transcends his wrath.
Go through the world fearing nothing:
harming nothing.

The Father summons …
and promises always
a Kingdom to come
where we might respond
both as servants and sons.
Penitential Prayer
Father, we confess the inadequacy of our love:
Scripture tells us You so loved the world
that You sent Your only Son,
not to condemn
but to save!
Father, truly Your love is vast
but mankind’s love is frequently preempted
by thoughtless condemnations,
by vengeful acts, by hateful
exploitations.
Father, forgive us!
Blessing
Go out into the world in love:
hold fast to what is good,
return no person evil for evil,
strengthen the weak,
support the poor,
honor all your brothers and sisters,
Go out into the world in love
and live as men and women in Christ.

Praise the Lord, brothers and sisters, praise the Lord!
He who is hungry shall hunger no more;
He who is thirsty shall thirst no more.
Praise the Lord, brothers and sisters, praise the Lord!
for the body and the blood of Christ
are the bread and the wine of life everlasting.
Penitential Prayer
Forgive us, Father,
For our failure to feed the hungry,
For our failure to give drink to the thirsty,
For our failure to be the salt of the earth,
and the light of the world.
Blessing
Go into the world as one possessed
with the courage and strength of
the Bread of Life.
Raise the lowly to high places.
Fill the hungry with nourishing things.
Exalt the Name of Jesus, who gave His flesh and blood for the life of the world.

Forgive us, Father, for our failure to identify with Your one and only Truth.
We want to be Your disciples
but are afraid of the consequences.
We want to proclaim Your Truth
but are afraid of the criticism.
We want to feed the poor
but are afraid of the cost.
We want to shelter the homeless
clothe the needy
heal the sick
defend the helpless
but are afraid of the time involved.
Lord, forgive our fears, and give us the courage to be Your disciples of Truth.

Go now, with God’s blessing!
Go now, and lose your life in His ministry of love.
Go now, and discover who you really are!
