Children’s Sunday Sermon

Good morning, girls and boys! I’m sure all of you know Rev. ________, the Pastor of our Church. As the spiritual leader of our Church family, Rev. ________ has certain things that God has asked for. What are some of those things that Rev.____ has been asked to do?
That’s right. Rev. ________ conducts our Church services and preaches the sermon each Sunday. What else?
That’s right, Rev. _______ visits church members when they are sick or are in need. And, of course, when someone from our Church gets married, Rev. _____ conducts the ceremony. These are all a part of Rev. _______’s ministry. Rev. ____ _, like all ministers, is someone who has been asked by God to do His work here on earth. And remember, the most important work God has asked all of us to do is to Love one another as He has loved us.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? That’s right — in a way, all of us — all members of our Christian family are like ministers. God expects us — every one of you girls and boys — to do His work here on earth. And you already know what some of those works are — like being kind to your friends, helping others, listening with your heart, obeying your parents and teachers, and most of all — showing your brothers and sisters, mother and father, teachers, friends, and neighbors how much you care about them as members of your Christian family.
That’s being a minister of God. Now this week, as you go to school and spend time with your family and friends, remember what an important job God has given you! It’s the most important job of all!
