With each step, he tests and makes sure of the ground beneath his feet.
Beside him and just above the ground moves the white-winged angel, “Faith.” Side by side, they go until they come to the edge of a vast precipice. Here the path stops suddenly, and Knowledge can go no further. But the white-winged angel, Faith, rises majestically from the ground and moves on across the chasm, leaving her companion behind.
That is the way it is for so many of us. We find ourselves at the end of the road, so to speak, and can go no further. We can go no further until we discover a lively faith in the Gracious God who is always with us, side by side.
